Plan A Mask Wearing

Plan B in England switches to Plan A on Thursday 27th January 2022.  This welcome step is due to decreasing COVID infection numbers and deaths.  Plan A removes the legal requirement to wear a face covering in many spaces.

However, public health guidance and Infection Protection and Control (IPC) measures for all healthcare settings in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland will remain the same.

Plan A Wearing Masks in Clinics

That is the use of face masks for staff and face masks for all patients will continue over the winter period and guidance will be reviewed March/April 2022 by IPC and Public Heath England (PHE).

Our enhanced existing COVID protocols will not change even after March/April 2022 e.g. doors kept open to minimise contact and enhanced cleaning / sanitising of surfaces. We will also continue to ask you to use hand sanitiser on entry to the clinic to reduce potential viral and bacterial transfer.
